The explosion of the seas; they are made to pass away
The explosion of the seas; they are made to pass away ‘Abdullah bin Hamoud al-Furaih The horrors of the Day of Judgment (2) The explosion of the seas; they are made to pass awayThese seas in which great creatures live from the creation of Allah Almighty; these seas that cover the greater area of our earth will explode on the Day of Resurrection and will be lit up and the fire will explode. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said about His words Almighty: {وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ} “And when the seas are erupted” [Al Infitar: 3] Meaning: “Allah pulls them into each other. Al Hassan said: its water has gone” Allah Almighty says: {وَالْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ} “And [by] the sea filled [with fire]” [Al Tur: 6] And He said: {وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ} “And when the seas are filled with flame” [Al Takweer: 6] Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: “it was kindled so became a raging fire” The Sheikh Hafiz Hakmi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “the connected meaning from their words may Allah be pleased with them: they (cause) each other to explode so they get filled and then they will be set on fire, becoming fire and then their water will go.”[1] [1] Look at: Maraji Al Qubool (2/212) and look at the previous saying regarding it
