"Do not help Satan against your (Muslim) brother"
حسام بن عبدالعزيز الجبرين

Befits and contemplations:

Praise is due to Allah, Whom we praise and from Whom we ask help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of ourselves. He whom Allah guides has no one who can lead him astray, and he whom He leads astray has no one to guide him. I testify that there is nothing deserving of worship except Allah, and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

"O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him]."

"O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom1 you ask one another,2 and the wombs.3 Indeed Allah is ever,4 over you, an Observer."

"O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment."

To proceed: The best discourse is Allah’s Book, the best guidance is that given by Muhammad, and the worst things are those which are novelties. Every innovation is error.

Servants of the Most Merciful: Allah has created His servants, made subject to them whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, amply bestowed upon them His favors, [both] apparent and unapparent, and He sent messengers as bringers of good tidings and warners. So the Sharia permitted a lot for creation, rather, there is no limit to what is permissible, and it forbids a little because it contains evil, He is Glorified, the All-Knowing, the Most Subtle, the All-Wise.

The Seal of the Messengers is our Prophet, PBUH, to the Believers is he most kind and merciful. He is reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] and wisdom [i.e., the sunnah]. So his companions, may Allah be pleased with them, lived pious and righteous, Despite their virtues they are not infallible, the Sunnah has transmitted the occurrence of sins rarely from them, may Allah be pleased with them, so let us move to one of these scenes and contemplate some of its beneficial points: Bukhari reported: ‘Umar b. al-Khattab told that a man called ‘Abdallah whose laqab was Ass used to make the Prophet laugh. The Prophet had beaten him because of wine-drinking, but when he was brought to him one day and he gave orders and had him beaten, and then one of those present said, “O God, curse him. How often he is brought!” he said, “Do not curse to him. I swear by God that for all I know he loves God and His messenger."

Narrated Abu Huraira:

A drunk was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he ordered him to be beaten (lashed). Some of us beat him with our hands, and some with their shoes, and some with their garments (twisted in the form of a lash). When that drunk had left, a man said, "What is wrong with him? May Allah disgrace him!" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Do not help Satan against your (Muslim) brother."

So come, servants of the Most Gracious, to some pauses with these two hadiths:

First pause:

Looking at the sinner with pity, mercy and love for his guidance, and the respected angels, when they glorified our Lord and called Him, began with mercy: “Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.” (Al-Ghafir 7).

And Allah has praised Al-Khidr in two ways one of them is mercy: “And they found a servant from among Our servants [i.e., al-Khiḍr] to whom We had given mercy from Us and had taught him from Us a [certain] knowledge.” (Al-Kahaf 65).

From the pauses: the slave commits a sin while his heart is filled with the love of Allah, but the love differs, We ask Allah - may He be glorified and exalted- for filling our heart with His love,

One of the benefits is not to be courteous to falsehood.

From the pauses: The Sharia punishments are for purification from guilt and deterrence, not for satisfaction and revenge.

From the benefits: Fairness, because fairness is the son of justice, it would have been sufficient, if it was not from its benefits except safety from injustice. Despite his committing a major sin and being flogged, he (the prophet) proved for him, for what he has been cursed and insulted, his love for Allah and His Messenger, what a great testimony it is!

From the pauses is: the danger of alcohol, as Allah Almighty said: “defilement from the work of Satan” (Al-maidah 90). the Messenger of Allah has cursed ten over wine, So the drunkenness necessitates the punishment in this world and threatens with Tinat Al-khabal, (Discharge of wounds, flowing from the inhabitants of Hell) on the Day of Resurrection if he does not repent, and other threats have been made.

from the pauses: the greatness of the morals of the Prophet. Allah said true: “And We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.” (Al-ambiya 107).

May Allah bless you and me with the Book and the Sunnah, and the guidance and wisdom that they contain, and seek Allah’s forgiveness for He is All-Forgiving.

Praise be to God, the Most High, the Most Aware, Most Benefactor and All-Covering.I testify that there is nothing deserving of worship except Allah the Alone, the Reckoner, the All-Powerful, and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

The light of dawn has shown at the time of darkness

With Mustafa the guide for the best words

Revelation, the Qur’an, and the Creator’s approach

It has destroyed the ignorant people with Islam

May Allah bless you, O, symbol of guidance

It was a moment that never passed over the days.

To proceed: The brothers of faith, one of the pauses with the two hadiths is: Beware of breaking into the fence of guilt, for, if a person commits guilt, he will reduce his prestige and greatness in himself. You may find a kinship cutter or a drinker of alcohol if he is offered a bribe that he would not accept! Because he did not take prohibited money in his life, and you may find a lot of backbiting or lying, if a prostitute is exposed to him, he turns her away, because the fence of his chastity has not been broken! The Muslim has to keep this fence and be aware of Satan's steps by experience or exploration!

From the pauses: the love and mercy do not mean abandoning firmness and punishment if the wrongdoer deserves it. The drinker was a humourist, made the Messenger of Allah laugh. Nevertheless, when he drank alcohol, he ordered to lash and reprimand him. In a narration, he PBUH said: “He then told them to reproach him, and they faced him and said, “You have not respected God, you have not feared God, and you have not shown shame before God’s Messenger.” But when some of the people said, “God put you to shame!” he told them not to say that and help the devil to get power over him, but to say, “O God, forgive him. O God show mercy to him.”

It was the custom of the Messenger of Allah that he did not invoke Allah against the one who had been given the Punishment, because the Hadd (punishment) had purified him of his sin, as he has forbidden the same in the hadith of stoning of Al-Ghamdiyah and others.

From the lessons: To avoid taunting the guilty or gloating over him.

From the benefits: The unity of all Muslims against their enemy from the devil of the jinn and mankind.

From the pauses: The sins do not remove Islamic brotherhood, and the brotherhood in Islam has rights.

I conclude with this beneficial point: Strengthening the positive aspects especially, at the time when the one who is wrong or guilty, repents.

“I swear by God that for all I know he loves God and His messenger”. What a great testimony for that wrongdoer!

Then, invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace…
