Hurt When hurt is used to talk about damage to your body , you may be slightly/badly/seriously hurt . However ,do not use these adverbs to talk about being made unhappy by someone's behavior . Compare : she was badly / slightly hurt when she fell off the ladder , and she was very deeply ( see also wound ) .
