The condition of the people on the Day of Resurrection (the Muslims) (5)

The situation of the one who steals from the booty of war
Allah Almighty said:
{وَمَن يَغْلُلْ يَأْتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ}
“And whoever betrays, [taking unlawfully], will come with what he took on the Day of Resurrection. Then will every soul be [fully] compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged.” [Al Imran: 161]
He comes on the Day of Resurrection at a disgraced state. He has what he was unfaithful with in the life of the world. Allah knows best (of their situation)
Al Qurtubi said:
{وَمَن يَغْلُلْ يَأْتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ}
Meaning: he comes with it carrying it on his back and at his ankles, punished by carrying it and its weight, terrified of its sound and dreading to show his treason to the onlookers.[1]
