In space flights especially away from the earth, all directive methods fail and it becomes impossible to find the right direction except by depending on the stars and their ********s. Stars, therefore, remain an effective directive method in the outer space no matter how developed scientific methods are. The holy Qur'an, accordingly, points out the significance of stars for guidance; Allah, the Exalted says:

“It is He Who maketh

The stars (as beacons) for you,

That ye may guide yourselves,

With their help,

Through the dark spaces

Of land and sea:

We detail Our Signs

For people who know.” An’am: 97
