Monkeys and moralities
A new research illustrates the native moralities in many animals including monkeys.…. These monkeys can distinguish between good and evil and to establish justice, the same as what is in the humanitarian communities. Let us read these wonderful koranic signs…… Human looks at other creatures like animals that it doesn’t have the ability to think or to distinguish between good and evil and that it doesn't know justice or injustice. But the Qur'an told us that all creatures are like our communities, Allah almighty says: (There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.)(Sûrat Al-An’âm- verse 38). Can frogs predict the earthquakes?
 Allah almighty had supported these weak creatures with very sensitive prediction systems…. Allah almighty had supported these weak creatures with very sensitive prediction systems for earthquakes which are considered to be more advanced than any other human tool, it hears the emitted sounds from earth two days before the earthquake!!..... On May 5th, 2008 many Chinese had noticed thousands of frogs on the move. They were seen traveling without fear of traffic as they crossed streets in mass floods. The Chinese government told them that it was just a natural migration for the purpose of propagation. This calmed the people and no one took the omen very seriously. But on Monday, 12th of May, at about 2:45pm, central China region recorded a 7.8 magnitude quake which occurred near Wenchuan County, Sichuan province that killed nearly 10,000 people. Many civilian houses and roads were collapsed and damaged. In one Dujiangyan city middle school, 900 students and teachers were buried in the collapsed building, at least 50 were killed.  Chinese earthquake damaged many areas in china and killed thousands of people and let many hundreds thousands of homeless, indeed it is a warning from Allah not only for Chinese but for all people, also it is some kind of torture, God says: (And verily, We will make them taste of the near torment (i.e. the torment in the life of this world, i.e. disasters, calamities, etc.) prior to the supreme torment (in the Hereafter), in order that they may (repent and) return (i.e. accept Islam).)(Sûrat As-Sajdah-verse 21). The quake was the largest the region has seen for over a generation. It was so strong, even countries like Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong felt the shake. Many people called the Chinese Earthquake Test Centers “useless”, as they were unable to even detect the earthquake before it happened. When they finally announced the earthquake had occurred, it was 12 minutes after the disaster, and 2 minutes after the US had announced a large earthquake in China. As for the Frogs and their omen, Chinese scientists stated animals have much better sense than human on detecting the natural disasters like this. "Although it's difficult to prove that toads "predicted" the quake, it's certainly not impossible. We know that animals sense pre-earthquake micro-tremors, and react to underground water movements, or even changes in the composition of the air. It's just that these theories haven't been scientifically proven yet" Says Pascal Bernard a researcher in a team of seismologists at the Jussieu University in Paris.  Allah almighty had supported these frogs by very sensitive detection systems as it can detect and measure low frequencies that human can't hear but it can be detected by animals like elephants, birds, whales and frogs. So, it can run away from the area two days before the earthquake. Glory to Allah!!!! The believer shouldn't ignore such information, because he or she knows very well that Allah almighty didn't create anything for nothing as every thing in our world was created for a specific purpose but we may not know that purpose. Today, scientists are studying this phenomenon to figure out the used technique by those small animals to enable us to discover an effective system to predict earthquakes. Hence we have to realize that these animals are subjected for us by the divine power to be evidence on the extreme power of the creator and to let us to learn from those weak animal as a message for the man to not to be arrogant or transcendent. God says: (And has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; it is all as a favor and kindness from Him. Verily, in it are signs for a people who think deeply)(Sûrat Al-Jâthiyah-verse13). Shouldn't we deeply think in these signs and work hard to do good deeds may Allah protect us from His torture? We have to invoke our God be He blessed and exalted. He says  Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret. He likes not the aggressors.*and do not do mischief on the earth, after it has been set in order, and invoke Him with fear and hope. Ant carries the dead to the graveyard
 In a new scientific research, scientists discovered that the living ant can recognizes the dead one to carry it to the graveyard out of the colony….Glory to Allah… When an ant dies in an ant nest or near one, its body is quickly picked up by living ants and removed from the colony, thus limiting the risk of colony infection by pathogens from the corpse. Scientists who studied those insects said that the dead ants release chemicals created by decomposition (such as fatty acids) that signal their death to the colony's living ants.  Ants are small, six-legged insects that can grow up to two inches long. A logical question, is the vague blind nature able to create a creature with that preciseness? But a new paper is published online in the early edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the researchers report that all ants, both living and dead, have the "death chemicals" continually, but live ants have them along with other chemicals associated with life – the "life chemicals." When an ant dies, its life chemicals dissipate or are degraded, and only the death chemicals remain. "It's because the dead ant no longer smells like a living ant that it gets carried to the graveyard, not because its body releases new, unique chemicals after death," said Dong-Hwan Choe, the lead author of the research paper and a graduate student working towards his doctoral degree with Michael Rust, a professor of entomology at UCR.  Ants like human in carrying the dead to the graveyard, God says: (There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. Also he says: "There is no mistaking that it is the dissipation of chemical signals associated with life rather than the increase of a decomposition product 'death cue' that triggers necrophoric behavior by Argentine ants". Along with Rust and UCR's Jocelyn Millar, a professor of entomology, Choe used analytical chemistry techniques to identify the "signals of life" in the Argentine ant: the chemicals dolichodial and iridomyrmecin. "Understanding the exact mechanism of ant necrophoresis will help researchers develop a more environmentally friendly pest management strategy by which we can achieve results with smaller amounts of insecticide," Choe said. "A recent study on Argentine ants that we did in the lab indicated that nestmates can efficiently distribute slow-acting and non-repellent insecticides among themselves via necrophoresis. When an ant exposed to an insecticide dies in the nest, other ants carry its body around, with the insecticide transferring easily from the corpse to healthy ants."  Ants are known by their love to the group work, so it is not a surprise when scientists tell us that live ant carries the dead out of the colony. Glory to Allah!! A notice and reply on suspicions I found that the holy verse in (Sûrat Al-An’âm- verse 38) which was mentioned before, is among two verse about the denial of disbelievers. Atheists and disbelievers used to be suspicious about the Qur'an and they used to claim that verses of Qur'an are not connected with each others, indeed they are wrong. The verse which precedes verse 38 in Sûrat Al-An’âm is the verse 37 as God says in that verse: (And they said: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "Allah is certainly able to send down a sign, but most of them know not.")(Sûrat Al-An’âm- verse 37), after that Allah says in the following verse: (There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.)(Sûrat Al-An’âm- verse 38). Allah almighty says about disbelievers and atheists that: (but most of them know not), as they are asking for signs not miracles but because they are deaf and blind of the truth they don't see the many signs of God in universe, so that Allah almighty had mentioned in the next verse (verse-38) a scientific fact that no one ever know about it before is that all creatures are like human. Are they going to believe?! Let us read the whole three verses: (And they said: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "Allah is certainly able to send down a sign, but most of them know not.*There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.* those who reject Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) are deaf and dumb in the darkness. Allah sends astray whom He wills and He guides on the Straight Path whom He wills.). Early warning system in the beetle
 In this article we are going to see how German scientists had learned from the beetles how to make an early warning system to detect fires, the black beetle can detect the fire 80 kilometer away. Let us read…. During a forest fire, most insects and animals flee in all directions, flying, and running, crawling and using every possible means to avoid the deadly flames. But there are exceptions, like some spices of beetles. Some scientists believe people can capitalize on their behavior and the body parts they use to detect fire or sense chemicals in the environment. Scientific news from Germany Nowadays, group of scientists in the University of Bonn are working hard to invent sensors like the detection sensors in the black beetles which can detect the fire tens of kilometers far from the flame, those scientists are looking for that invention to help in preventing forests fires. Researcher kloka from the Institute of Zoology at the University of Bonn confirms that some spices of beetles can hear the fires, also he say that he is trying to study those spices to figure out how it avoids fire and how it detects the emitted Infrared ray from that fire?  Under supervision of Professor Helmut Schmitz (University of Bonn), kloka concentrated on the black beetle which lives in forests and don’t runaway from fires, it searches for it. Its larva feeds on burned wood. In their fire-seeking frenzy, flying into flames or crawling along still-smoldering trees, the beetles may be trying to beat competitors to weakened or dying trees so that they are the first to plant their eggs into them, researchers believe. To do that, though, the beetles must be able to find burning trees and get to them quickly. While it has been known for decades that these insects have infrared detectors that allow them to sense the heat of fires, new research by scientists indicates they also possess highly sensitive detectors in their antennas that allow them to sense minute amounts of volatile substances in smoke from burning wood.  Scientists say that the beetle possesses highly sensitive detectors in its antenna that allow it to sense the volatile substances in smoke from burning wood. The research team had succeeded to recognize how these systems work as they are willing to mimic it. Professor Schmitz says: 'we are cooperating with researchers in biology to build micro mechanic systems which are similar to what is in the beetles.' Another researcher Dr. Stefan Schutz of the Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany, and colleagues say this highly sensitive smoke detection, coupled with their heat sensors, appears to be part of a system that allows the beetles to sense fires and home in on them from distances of more than 30 miles away. ''There is a complex interplay with the infrared system that we do not fully understand,'' Dr. Schutz said, also he added ''but we think detecting the smoke may be an early indication to the beetle that there is a fire in the area.'' ''The beetles are often found in hilly places where there may not be the clear line of sight to a fire that is needed by their heat detectors'' he said.  E. Richard Hoebeke, a beetle expert in the entomology department at Cornell University said the German work was ''new and exciting'' but also showed how much people had to learn about insects. 'Think about how little we know of insects with incredibly sensitive and complex sensory mechanisms.' Mr. Hoebeke asked. Dr. Daniel Young, director of the insect research collection at the University of Wisconsin's entomology department, said many beetle species found in the United States and Canada exhibited fire-seeking behavior, looking for stressed or dying trees in which to plant their eggs, so their larvae could develop in or under the bark. Dr. William G. Evans, an entomologist who studied the insects 30 years ago as a professor at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, said he was gratified that scientists were continuing to study the beetles, but not too surprised by their findings. ''All insects have olfactory organs in their antennas,'' he said, ''and you would almost expect the beetles to detect smoke.'' In earlier research, Dr. Evans discovered that Melanophila acuminata had a pair of thoracic pit organs that were sensitive infrared receptors, guiding the insect to fires. Allah is the one who created and subjected all of these creatures (Animals, plants, insects, moon, sun, etc…….); shouldn't we thank and glorify that great God? Scientists are asking very naïve question" How did these beetles develop their ability to lay eggs this way?'' The beetle expert Mr. Hoebeke asked. Will Allah almighty forgives us and all people (Muslims and non Muslims) for the illiteracy of His graces? Hence we Muslims should thank Allah for His graces and to be more submissive to His orders. God says: (Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) to be affected by Allah's Reminder (this Qur'an), and that which has been revealed of the truth, lest they become as those who received the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before (i.e. Jews and Christians), and the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened? And many of them were Fâsiqûn (the rebellious, the disobedient to Allah).)(Sûrat Al-Hadîd- verse16). Ants are smarter than we think
 The following picture calls any believer to glorify Allah almighty, world of ants is strange;…. The following picture calls any believer to glorify Allah almighty, world of ants is strange; hence there is a complete verse in the Qur'an named "the ant". Let us read and glorify Allah. In the following pictures (enlarged by microscopes), we see a small ant extracts honeydew from Aphid. The ant emits adhesive material to stick the aphid on the plant inside a determined circle by that ant, so that aphid couldn't run away till the ant comes and sucks the honeydew from it!!  The honeydew is gathered at the same place till the ant comes and swallows the sugary honeydew.  Ants and aphids share a well-documented relationship of mutualism. Ants feed on the sugary honeydew left behind by aphids. In exchange, the ants protect the aphids from predators and parasites. In fact, honey ants will go to unusual lengths to ensure the health of the aphids in their care. The Question, does the ant thank Allah? Of course it does, because He almighty taught her that technique to gather the sugary honeydew. Don't you believe that ant is smarter than we think? God be He blessed and exalted says: (And no moving (living) creature is there on earth but its provision is due from Allah. And He knows its dwelling place and its deposit (in the uterus, grave). Birds don't accept adultery
 For many years, scientists believed that birds are fighting and competing to get the female without any ethical rules. But is it the truth? Let us read …. A new study for atropical bird called "manakins" illustrated that male who wins the grand prize to get the female is the only one who lives with her till death, but after that his counterpart may marry and lives with his widow!!! That sincerity may not be found in human life. What happens is that the tropical male birds perform a courtship song and dance, but the alpha male gets the girl every time. The dance, dubbed "backwards leapfrog", was filmed in Costa Rica by zoologists from the University of Wyoming. "At first glance, it appears like a competitive [dance-off] but in fact it is a co-operative pact between buddies" says Dr David McDonald, of Wyoming University. Also he added" As far as I know it is the only example of male-male [mating] co-operation in the animal kingdom". Hence we can say that there are two males: the (Alfa) who marries the female and the (Beta) who waits till the death of Alfa. Meanwhile the beta spends five years playing second fiddle. But he eventually inherits the mating site. Here it is nice to say that the male birds' partnership lasts up to five years, during that time, the beta male does not copulate as he has to wait until alpha male dies - he doesn't kick him out. So he may be waiting until he's 10, 15 or even older. In return, he will eventually inherit the mating site and become the alpha himself.  In fact the females don't know the males individually. They map the sites where males are doing really hot performances. But how do the males decide which of them is the alpha? Dr McDonald says" It is not a case of who is a better dancer, what it comes down to is how -well connected- he is among his buddies". From this study we can conclude that birds have high level of Morality and cooperation which is considered to be evidence that world of birds looks like our world. God be He blessed and exalted says: (There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.)(Sûrat Al-An’âm- verse38). Also we can realize that those creatures can think and can distinguish between right and wrong, we see in mankind some people who looks at what others have got of livelihood (wife, money, sons, etc…). A plant dissolves ice!!
 In our universe there are many strange phenomena, one of these phenomena is a plant which lives in ice and heats the surrounding area to stay alive …. There are many wonders in the world of plant [1]; western scientists were astonished from the behavior of some plants which emits heat when needed. It would be irrational to believe that these plants are without brain or they don't understand, instead we have to believe that Allah almighty had supported those plants with a sensitive detectors to detect the ambient temperature, when temperature descends to lower level, a special system in that plant starts to generate energy which is resulted from some chemical operations to heat ice and dissolves it. Scientists had observed that when temperature is around zero degrees centigrade, temperature of that plant would be "between" 30 to 36 degree centigrade, without that characteristic the plant wouldn't be able to stay alive. One of these plants is called [2] skunk cabbages or scientifically ''Symplocarpus foetidus''. It lives in snowy slops where temperature around the plant is about (-15 C) and temperature of that plant is around 30C. This amazing phenomenon is not existed in any other creature as any creature can't live in such temperature for long time.  A plant heats ice and dissolve it in a temperature up to 36 C where the surrounded temperature is up to(-15 C) Hence we can understand that this kind of plants works as an air conditioner as it posses a detection system to detect the surrounded temperature, if the temperature dropped below a certain level the conditioner works and when the temperature rises to a certain level the conditioner stops. So, we find that this plant was programmed by the creator Almighty to work properly without spare parts or maintains…. But the heating mechanism of that plant still vague till now [3], bur Allah almighty tells us about his graces for that plant and for all creatures as He says: (Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright.)(Sûrat Tâ-Hâ- verse 50). This verse means that Allah had created every thing and then He guided them to be compatible with the environment to stay alive…..  The plant uses a vague precise mechanism. So scientists are asking, how can the plant controls temperature like that? How can it get this energy? What are the used techniques? The doer of all of that is Allah almighty who said: (Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright.)(Sûrat Tâ-Hâ- verse 50). Today, the scientists are thinking to benefit from the difference of temperature in these plants to generate electricity to warm houses! These plants produce a huge temperature as the difference in temperature is between (-15 and 35).that difference can be used to warm water or houses. Hence there is a free energy from that plant, God says: (See you not that Allah has subjected to you (mankind) all that is on the earth) (Sûrat Al-Hajj- verse 65), the word subjected means to offer a service for free (free of charge) so we can benefit from these plants to get a free energy. Allah almighty says: (And has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; it is all as a favor and kindness from Him. Verily, in it are signs for a people who think deeply.)(Sûrat Al-Jâthiyah- verse 13). Are we going to think deeply? Bee is faster than supercomputers
 Inside brain of the bee there are processors much faster than supercomputers despite its size(less than Pinhead), its speed is up to one trillion operation per second , let us read and glorify Allah …. Scientists had found that the bee is using ultra violet ray for vision; wave of this ray is short so that bee can see faster than human. It has to distinguish quickly while flying searching for food among the flowers. when it watch a video it can only see constant photos because its vision speed is more than human as it distinguish the photos in a film one by one. Processing speed in the bee Scientists say that bee can perform one trillion arithmetic operations in one second which is faster than any computer in the world!  A real colored photo for eye of bee where there is superior thirty thousand lenses!! This enables the bee for better vision, today scientists are trying to mimic something like that but they are incapable in front of the precise divine design. Look at small head that contains thousands of millions of cells. All of them are working simultaneously in a tremendous speed which is more than the most complicated computers. Glory to Allah!! Eye of bee consists of thousands of small lenses taking the hexagonal shape, scientists found that this design helps the bee for better vision in forests and to avoid collision with each others. Scientists who believe in secularism are wondering from that perfect design as its brain contains thousands of millions of cells and the size of the brain is less than Pinhead. Professor Luke Lee one of the famous artificial eye designers who tried to imitate an eye like eye of bee said: "I wanted to understand how nature can create layer upon layer of perfectly ordered structures without expensive fabrication technology". The answer is in God's saying: (He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have children when He has no wife? He created all things and He is the All-Knower of everything.* such is Allah, your Lord! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Creator of all things. So worship Him (Alone), and He is the Wakîl (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian) over all things.* No vision can grasp Him, but He grasps all vision. The tallest tree in the world
 Allah says: (He increases in creation what He wills) (Sûrat Fâtir-verse1) when we look around us we see the greatness of God also when we see His creatures we have to say Glory to Allah!!…. The height of the tallest tree in the world is 112meter; it is in the forests of California in the United States of America. Scientists believe that age of this tree is more than one thousand year, the diameter of its trunk is more than three meters, and it looks like a building consisting of 37 floors.  But someone may say, where is the miracle in that creature? Here we have to ask a question, how can the water reach the height of 112 meter? What kind of pumps this tree is using? And from where does that tree get the needed energy to feed itself for more than 1000 year? Allah almighty put the suitable methods to keep life of that tree and life of all creatures. He almighty put a very simple rule as without that rule all plants would die, that is the Surface tension of water. Water has a Tensile strength and it is able to climb through plant vessel to reach the top of the tree. There is another way to feed that tree by water which is withdrawing water from the air! Allah almighty is the one who guaranteed the livelihood for His creatures and He had subjected all the methods to keep them alive. So, can Allah almighty forget a man who is asking and supplicating to Him? God says: (And so many a moving (living) creature carries not its own provision! Allah provides for it and for you.  Scientists say that many living organisms are using earth's magnetic field in their journey, migration and movement all over the world as Allah almighty put a special program inside brain of these creatures for steering and controlling, let us read…. Recently, scientists had found that some kinds of living organisms can precisely determine their place of birth so that they can return back after years of migration without deviation from the target place such as the Salmon and sea turtle !scientists are confused about that phenomenon, what guides them toward their target? The most recent theory confirm that these creatures use the magnetic field of earth, every place on earth whether in ground or sea has its distinguished "magnetic signature" and these creatures are guided by that signature by special and complicated programs and special cells as they detect and store that magnetic field to be used later. Scientists call that science "movement ecology". Despite that discovery, scientists are still confused about that phenomenon.  But, we are Muslims are not confused about this amazing phenomenon because God be He exalted and blessed told us that He almighty is the one who gave all creatures its form and systems and He had subjected all needed methods for their life, Allah says: (Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright) (Sûrat Tâ-Hâ-verse 50).look at the mercy of Allah who didn't forget these creatures(He is exalted to forget anything ) and subjected the magnetic field of earth for them to live in safe and to rely on it during their movement. Also He almighty had supported these creatures with special programs in the brain (specially the forelock) so they can ******* and steer themselves. In the Qur'an there is a nice sign about all of that as He almighty says: (There is not a moving (living) creature but He has the grasp of its forelock. Verily, my Lord is on the Straight Path (the truth).)(Sûrat Hûd-verse56).
