Honored and humiliated people on the Day of Judgment (1)

Hosam Ibn `Abdul-`Aziz Al Jibrin

Translated by: Alamgeer Usmani.

Praise belongs to Allah, we praise Him, and we ask Him for help and forgiveness. We seek protection in Allah from the malice of our souls, and the evil of our actions. Whom Allah guides, no one can lead him astray, and whom He makes astray, no one can lead him back to the right path. I bear witness that there is no other deity but Allah alone who has no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.
O you who believed! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except as Muslims.” (Aali ‘Imran * 3:102)
O mankind, fear your Lord who created you from a single soul, and from it, He created its match, and spread many men and women from the two. Fear Allah in Whose name you ask each other (for your rights), and fear (the violation of the rights of) the womb-relations. Surely, Allah is watchful of you." (Al-Nisa:01).

O you who believe, fear Allah and speak in straightforward words. If you do so, Allah will correct your deeds for your benefit, and forgive your sins for you. Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger achieves a great success”. (Al-Ahzab:70-71).

To proceed,
Brothers in faith:
Our Lord has frequently mentioned the Day of Resurrection in His Book, and described it by various qualities, like: the Last Day, the Day of Resurrection, the Day of Exodus, the Day of Decision, the Day of Judgment, the Day of Remorse, the Day of Eternity, the Day of Reckoning, the Day of Approaching horror, the Day of Gathering, the Day of Encounter, The Day of Threatening, the Day of Mutual calling, the Day of Loss and Gain, and He called it the Hour, the Striking Event, the Deafening Noise, the Imminent Event, and the Overwhelming Event.

Al-Qurtubi said: “Everything which has great importance, has multiple attributes and names… Then he said: When the case of the Day of Resurrection is great and it has multiple horribleness, Allah Almighty, in his book, named this day with many names and described it with many qualities.”

Brothers in Islam:
We will mention what creates the love and fear upon hearing; the state of the honorable believers on that great day and the state of the tormented ones from the disobedient Muslims.

There will be a group of the servants of Allah – may Allah make us and our loved ones among them – which will not panic, when people will panic and will not grieve when people will grieve. They are the friends of the Most Merciful. They believed in Allah and obeyed Him preparing themselves for that day. Allah will make them free from worries on that day. And the time, they will resurrect from the graves, the angels of the Most Merciful will receive them, and their hearts will be reassured.

“As for those for whom the good (news) from Us has come earlier, they will be kept far away from it.They will not hear the slightest of its sound, and they will remain forever in what their souls desire. They shall not be grieved by the Biggest Panic, and the angels shall receive them (saying), “This is your day that you had been promised”.

On that day, the friends of the Most Merciful will be called for the sake of reassurance of hem.

“To whom it will be said) “O my servants, there is no fear for you today, nor will you grieve_ O those (servants) who believed in Our signs, and remained obedient”.

And the secret - and Allah knows best - in this assurance what Allah the Almighty will bestow upon His pious servants is that their hearts were filled with fear of Allah in the world. Allah the Almighty has narrated their words:
إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا يَوْماً عَبُوساً قَمْطَرِيراً * فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّاهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُوراً [الإنسان:10، 11]
“In fact, we are fearful of a day, from the side of our Lord, that will be frowning, extremely malignant. “So, Allah will save them from the evil of that day, and will grant them bloom and delight”.

And it is reported in a hadith Qudsi: “By My Honor, I don’t combine on My servant two fears and two safeties, if he fears Me in the world then I shall give him safety on the Day of Resurrection, and if he remains fearless and considers himself to be safe from Me in the world then I shall put on him fear on the Day of Resurrection.” Authenticated by Albani.

The more faithful and monotheistic the servant, the more secure he will be on the Day of Resurrection.

The Bukhari and Muslim narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) that when this verse was revealed:" It is those who believe and confound not their belief with wrongdoing" (vi. 82), the Companions of the Messenger of Allah wore greatly perturbed. They said: Who amongst us (is so fortunate) that he does not wrong himself? Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) remarked: It does not mean that which you presume It implies that which Luqman said to his son: O my son, do not associate anything with Allah, for indeed it is the gravest wrongdoing.

Among the prospects of dignity on the Day of Resurrection are the people whom Allah will put under His shade. When people will be in a horrible condition under the harsh glare of the sun suffering from a great calamity, there will be a group of believers in the shade of the Throne of the Most Merciful who will not be suffering from the calamities what others suffering from, as the Messenger of Allah PBUH told us: "Allah will give shade, to seven, on the Day when there will be no shade but His. (These seven persons are) a just ruler, a youth who has been brought up in the worship of Allah (i.e. worships Allah sincerely from childhood), a man whose heart is attached to the mosques (i.e. to pray the compulsory prayers in the mosque in congregation), two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake and they meet and part in Allah's cause only, a man who refuses the call of a charming woman of noble birth for illicit intercourse with her and says: I am afraid of Allah, a man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in charity), and a person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes are then flooded with tears." Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.

“Being under the shade” is not limited to the seven mentioned above, as it is mentioned in the book written by Ibn Hajar names “Marifatul-khisalil musillati ila al-zilal”.

Among these characteristics is to grant respite to an indigent or to alleviate it for him, as the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever grants respite to an indigent or alleviates it for him, Allah will shade him on the Day of Judgement under His Throne, a Day in which there is no shade except His shade”. Narrated by Muslim.

Oh Allah, protect us on the Day of Resurrection, Oh Allah, keep us in the shade of Your Throne on the Day of Judgment. Seek forgiveness from Allah that He is Forgiving.

Second Sermon
Praise be to Allah alone, and may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon His Prophet and His servant, and upon his family and companions.

After that, The condition of the servants on the Day of Resurrection won’t the same. Some Muslims have committed sins that cause them to face horrors, hardships, and punishment.

Among them are people about whom the Prophet PBUH said that those who do not pay zakat, will face various sever punishment as it came in the hadiths that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “If Allah gives a person wealth and he does not pay Zakah on it, his wealth will appear to him on the Day of Resurrection as a bald-heated Shuja'a with two dots above its eyes. It will take hold of the corners of his mouth on the Day of Resurrection and will say: 'I am your wealth; I am your hoarded treasure.' The he recited this verse:
“Those who withhold in miserliness what Allah has given them out of His grace should not take it as good for them. Instead, it is bad for them. They shall be forced, on the Doomsday, to put on what they withheld, as iron-collars round their necks. To Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth. Allah is All-Aware of what you do”.

Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.

According to Muslim: If any owner of gold or silver does not pay what is due on him, when the Day of Resurrection would come, plates of fire would be beaten out for him; these would then be heated in the fire of Hell and his sides, his forehead and his back would be cauterized with them. Whenever these cool down, (the process is) repeated during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years, until judgment is pronounced among servants, and he sees whether his path is to take him to Paradise or to Hell”.

Servants of Allah:
And among those who will be punished on that day is: the arrogant. Because the arrogance is a major crime in the law of Allah, and Allah hates the arrogant very much. And when Allah will raise the servants, the arrogant will be gathered in a humiliating condition as it is recorded in the hadith: "The proud will be gathered on the Day of Judgement resembling tiny particles in the image of men. They will be covered with humiliation everywhere, they will be dragged into a prison in Hell called Bulas, submerged in the Fire of Fires, drinking the drippings of the people of the Fire, filled with derangement." Narrated by Ahmad and Timizi and authenticated by Albani.

“Tiny particles” are the small ants about which people do not care, they tread on it with their feet without realizing, and it is narrated in Sahih Muslim: “Three (are the persons) with whom Allah would neither speak, nor would He absolve them on the Day of Resurrection, and mentioned among them “the proud destitute”.

Allah also hates the names of the arrogant who name themselves with the names of arrogant.

Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The most awful (meanest) name in Allah's sight is (that of) a man calling himself king of kings."

And Muslim added in a narration: “There is no king but Allah, the Exalted and Glorious”.

Al-Qadi Iyaz said: “Akhna’ means the most humiliating of the names.” Ibn Battal said: If the name is the most humiliating then the one who is called by it will be the most humiliated”.

Honorable people:
We heard something about the condition of the pious people on the day of judgment and something about the condition of the disobedient. We ask Allah for the means of His mercy and forgiveness, the benefit of every good deed and safety from all sins and success in paradise and the salvation from the fire. Then send peace and salutation...

Honored and humiliated people on the Day of Judgment (2)

Hosam Ibn `Abdul-`Aziz Al Jibrin

Translated by: Alamgeer Usmani.

Praise be to Allah, who is unique in majesty and eternal existence, greatness and pride, we praise Him for His great blessings, the greatest of which is the blessing of Islam, and I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone who has no partner, He has a kingdom which is just and wise, and He sent messengers and taught them, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger, who delivered the message and fulfilled the entrusted duty. He advised the nation, and struggled for the sake of Allah that is owed to him, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, and upon his family, companions and followers until the Day of Judgment, and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him abundantly.

After that, I advise myself and you to fear Allah and to look into our deeds. Whatever was good, we increased it, and we asked Allah to accept it, and whatever was bad, we repent from it, and we asked Allah for His forgiveness. Because, I and you are now in the home of action for the hereafter. Allah the Almighty said the truth:

“Whoever opts for the immediate (benefits from) life herein, We give him, right here in this life, as much as We will, to whomever We intend. Then We assign Jahannam for him where he shall enter condemned, discarded. And whoever opts for the Hereafter and makes efforts for it as due, while he is a believer, then, the effort of such people is appreciated! To all of them - both these and those - We extend the grants of your Lord. And the grant of your Lord is not barred (for anyone). See how We made some of them excel some others (in this world) and, of course, the Hereafter is much higher in ranks and much greater in degrees of merit”.

Brothers in faith:
In this world, the condition of people in their steadfastness in applying the law of their Lord, is different. Like this, their condition in the Hereafter also would be different as Almighty said:
أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَالْمُفْسِدِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِينَ كَالْفُجَّار [ص: 28]
“Shall We make those who believe and do righteous deeds equal to those who commit mischief on the earth? Or shall We make the God-fearing equal to the sinners?”

Honorable people,
we will motivate our hearts by mentioning something from the state of the two groups on the day of judgment:
What will save the servant on the Day of Judgment is to strive for the needs of Muslims, to help the needy, and to facilitate for insolvent; The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: He who alleviates the suffering of a brother out of the sufferings of the world, Allah would alleviate his suffering from the sufferings of the Day of Resurrection, and he who finds relief for one who is hard-pressed, Allah would make things easy for him in the Hereafter, and he who conceals (the faults) of a Muslim, Allah would conceal his faults in the world and in the Hereafter. And Allah is engaged in helping the worshipper as long as the worshipper is engaged in helping his brother." narrated by Muslim.

Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There was a merchant who used to lend the people, and whenever his debtor was in straitened circumstances, he would say to his employees, 'Forgive him so that Allah may forgive us.' So, Allah forgave him."

Brothers in faith,
Among those who will be honored on the Day of Judgment are the people who are just in their judgment, their families and in what they have been entrusted with, so, on the Day of Resurrection they will be in a lofty position, sitting on pulpits of light to the right of the Most Merciful, and both of his hands are right hands. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Behold! the Dispensers of justice will be seated on the pulpits of light beside Allah, on the right side of the Merciful, Exalted and Glorious. And both of His hands are right hands. (The Dispensers of justice are) those who do justice in their rules, in matters relating to their families and in all that they undertake to do”.

Among those who will be honored on the Day of Resurrection are the martyrs; The martyr will not panic when the people will be frightened; It is recorded in Sunan al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah on the authority of al-Miqdam ibn Ma’di Karb, he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "There are six things with Allah for the martyr. He is forgiven with the first flow of blood (he suffers), he is shown his place in Paradise, he is protected from punishment in the grave, secured from the greatest terror, the crown of dignity is placed upon his head - and its gems are better than the world and what is in it - he is married to seventy-two wives along Al-Huril-'Ayn of Paradise, and he may intercede for seventy of his close relatives." Authenticated by Albani.

And from Allah’s honor for the martyr on the Day of Resurrection is that Allah will resurrect him while his wound will pour out the blood. Seemingly, its color would be the color of blood, but its smell would be the scent of musk.

Muslim narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: One who is wounded in the way of Allah-and Allah knows better who is wounded in His way-will appear on the Day of Judgment with his wound bleeding. The color (of its discharge) will be the color of blood, (but) its smell will be the smell of musk”.

Ibn Hajar said: “The scholars said: The wisdom behind his resurrection is that he will have a witness of his virtue that he has given himself in obedience to Allah Almighty”

May Allah benefit me and you with His Book and the Sunnah, and the wisdom and verse that they contain, and ask Allah’s forgiveness for He is Forgiving.

Second Sermon
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate, Owner of the Day of Judgment. And may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon the owner of the Lake-Fount and praised position, and his family and companions.

So, I enjoin myself and you to do good deeds, to leave taboos, and to renew repentance. Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “O people, repent to Allah, for I repent to Him a hundred times a day”. narrated by Muslim.

Brothers in faith,
people in this world have different actions, and so are they in the Hereafter. The Almighty said:
“Do those who have committed evils assume that We will make them like those who believe and do righteous deeds, so as their life and death becomes equal? Evil is what they judge”.

In the first sermon, we heard something about the condition of the honored people on the Day of judgment, and now we would hear something about the condition of the humiliated people on the Day of Judgment and on the day of meeting with the Lord of the Worlds.

Among those who will be humiliated on that day, are those about whom the threatening has accrued that Allah would not speak to them or purify them, and they will have a painful punishment. Among them are the people who conceal the book of Allah which He has sent down. They are the rabbis monks, and the scholars who conceal their knowledge to please a ruler, or to demand a worldly benefit; As the Jewish rabbis and Christian monks concealed what they knew of the attributes of our Messenger, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, and their denial of his prophethood, even though they knew about prophet, as Allah told about them:
يَعْرِفُونَهُ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ [البقرة: 146]
“They recognize him as they recognize their own sons”.

The Almighty said:
“Verily, those who conceal the Book Allah has revealed, and earn thereby a small price, they eat nothing into their bellies but fire, and Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He purify them, and for them there is painful punishment”.

This threat includes other sinners, because there is a hadith narrated by Al-Bukhari: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There are three types of people whom Allah will neither talk to, nor look at, on the Day of Resurrection. (They are): -1. A man who takes an oath falsely that he has been offered for his goods so much more than what he is given, -2. a man who takes a false oath after the `Asr prayer in order to grab a Muslim's property, and -3. a man who withholds his superfluous water. Allah will say to him, "Today I will withhold My Grace from you as you withheld the superfluity of what you had not created."

Honorable people,
disobedience to Allah is disgraceful in any case, but it becomes even more ugly if it is done with weak reasons. Therefore, the threat came in addition to the old adulterer, the poor arrogant, and the king who lies. In the hadith that Muslim brought out: “Three (are the persons) with whom Allah would neither speak, nor would He absolve them on the Day of Resurrection. Abu Mu'awiya added: He would not look at them and there is grievous torment for them: the aged adulterer, the liar king and the proud destitute”.

The previous warning came to the owners of other major sins; Muslim narrated in his Sahih on the authority of Abu Dharr, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: Three are the (persons) with whom Allah would neither speak on the Day of Resurrection, nor would look at them nor would absolve the and there is a painful chastisement for them. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) repeated it three times. Abu Dharr remarked: They failed and they lost; who are these persons, Messenger of Allah? Upon this he (the Holy) Prophet) observed: They are: the dragger of lower garment, the recounter of obligation the seller of goods by false oath”.

The scholars restricted the threatening of “dragger of lower garment” here to those people who dress out of arrogance. As it came in another hadith: “And whoever drags his garment out of arrogance, Allah Almighty will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection”. Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.

Al-Nawawi said: “He will not speak to them” means: Almighty would not speak to them with contentment and pleasure, but rather He would speak to them with the words of anger, and “He will not look at them” means: He will turn away from them; Because, His looking at his servants is mercy and kindness, and “will not purify them” means: He will not purify them from the defilement of their sins, and it is said that it means: He will not give compliment to them.

Oh Allah, make us and our loved ones on the day of judgment among the honored and winners.

Honored and humiliated people on the Day of Judgment (3)

Hosam Ibn `Abdul-`Aziz Al Jibrin

Translated by: Alamgeer Usmani.

Praise be to Allah, who has created everything in a unique way. The little ant is not hidden from Him when it walks in the night, and I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone who has no partner. “To Him belongs all that is in the heavens, all that is in the earth and whatever lies between them and whatever lies beneath the soil”. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant, His Messenger, His chosen one, and his friend. May Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, his family, his companions and his followers until the Day of Judgment.

After that, I enjoin myself and you to fear Allah. Because, it is the commandment of the Most Merciful to us and to the people before us.

“We have ordered those who were given the Book before you, and (ordered) you yourselves to fear Allah”.

So, let us examine ourselves with the commands of Allah and His Messenger, and look into our condition with what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden, and let us renew our repentance after every sin. Indeed, the garment which is washed as soon as it gets dirty, is not like the garment which is washed after the dirt accumulates on it for a period of time, rather it will require greater effort to make his whiteness bright. The matter of hearts with sins is like that.

Brothers in faith:
Our hearts harden, so they need something to soften them, perhaps, they need increasing them in closeness to Allah and providing them with the qualities of piety. What softens the hearts is remembering the Last Day, which Allah the Almighty has mentioned repeatedly in his book, and like this, they need exhortation and intimidation.

Honorable people,
Today, we will get to know about some texts which will mention certain conditions of people on the day of judgment.

Therefore, we will bring something from the grace of Allah the Almighty for a group of His servants, and the insult and punishment for others among His servants.

“The day they will come in open view. Nothing about them will remain hidden from Allah. To whom belongs the kingdom today? To Allah alone, the One, the All-Dominant. Today, everyone will be recompensed for what one earned. There is no injustice today. Surely, Allah is swift in reckoning”.

It is Allah’s justice that the servants will not be in the same condition in the Hereafter.

“Do those who have committed evils assume that We will make them like those who believe and do righteous deeds, so as their life and death becomes equal? Evil is what they judge”.

The people whose merit will be displayed on the Day of Resurrection, are the muezzins. Because, they will have the longest necks of people on that day. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The muezzins will have the longest necks of people on the Day of Resurrection.” Narrated by Muslim. And everything which heard the voice of muezzin when he used to raise his voice in the call to prayer in this world will testify for him.

in Sahih Al-Bukhari that Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, said to Abdul Rahman bin Sasa’ah: "I see that you love sheep and the desert. When you are with your sheep or in the desert and you call the Adhan for prayer, then raise your voice, for no human, Jinn or anything else hears the voice of the Mu'adhdhin as far as it reaches, but it will bear witness for him on the Day of Resurrection." Abu Sa'eed said: "I heard it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)."

Dear friends,
Being gray hair will be a light for its owner, if he is a Muslim, on the Day of Resurrection. There is hadith in Sunan al-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa’i on the authority of Ka’b bin Murra that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever develops one gray hair in Islam, it will be light for him on the Day of Resurrection.” Authenticated by Al-Albani.

Like this, the virtue of ablution would be displayed on the day of presentation. Muslim narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to the graveyard and said: "Peace be upon you! The abode of the believing people and we, if God so wills, are about to join you. I love to see my brothers." They (the hearers) said: Aren't we your brothers, O Messenger of Allah? He said: You are my companions, and our brothers are those who have, so far, not come into the world. They said: Messenger of Allah, how would you recognize those persons of your Ummah who have not yet been born? He said: Supposing a man had horses with white blazes on foreheads and legs among horses which were all black, tell me, would he not recognize his own horses? They said: Certainly, O Messenger of Allah. He said: They would come with white faces and arms and legs owing to ablution, and I would arrive at the Cistern before them. Some people would be driven away from my Cistern as the stray camel is driven away. I would call out: Come, come. Then it would be said (to me): These people changed themselves after you, and I would say: Be off, be off”.

And in another narration: “Then some persons would be driven away from my Cistern”. Narrated by Muslim.

Bukhari and Muslim brought the hadith of Abu Hurairah, with a chain of transmission traceable back to the Prophet: I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying, “My people will come on the Day of Resurrection with bright faces, hands and feet from the traces of Wudu”.

The word “Al-Ghurra” in the hadith means: the light in the faces of the nation of Muhammad PBUH. As for word “Tajheel” it means: Light in the extremities.

May Allah bless you and me with the Qur’an and the Sunnah and with the wisdom and verse which lie in them, and ask Allah’s forgiveness for He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

Second Sermon
Praise be to Allah alone, and may Allah’s prayers, peace and blessings be upon His Prophet, His servant, and upon his family and companions.

After that, I advise myself and you to fear Allah and renew repentance. Because, the sin is calamity in life and after death, and the obedience is a blessing in life and after death.

“Do those who have committed evils assume that We will make them like those who believe and do righteous deeds, so as their life and death becomes equal? Evil is what they judge”.

Brothers in faith:
Some servants will be honored on the Day of Presentation while some others will be humiliated, and among those who will be humiliated: are the treacherous, who promises to do something and does not fulfill it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “When Allah will gather together, on the Day of Judgment, all the earlier and later generations of mankind, a flag will be raised (to mark off) every person guilty of breach of faith, and it will be announced that this is the perfidy of so and so, son of so and so (to attract the attention of people to his guilt)”. Narrated by Muslim.

The flag is usually found with the army commanders in war, and the Arabs used to raise a flag for the treacherous in gatherings and the Hajj season. So, the flag will be raised for deceiver on the Day of Resurrection which will expose him, the greater the treachery, the higher the flag will be with which he will be exposed. There is a hadith in Muslim: “On the Day of Judgment there will be a flag for every person guilty of the breach of faith. It will be raised in proportion to the extent of his guilt; and there is no guilt of treachery more serious than the one committed by the ruler of men”.

The ruler or the caliph’s treachery was considered serious and grave, because his harm extends to many people, and because, he possesses power and authority, so he does not need for treachery.

Servants of Allah,
Allah the Almighty has forbidden oppression for Himself, and made it forbidden among His servants. The threat has come to the extortioner of the earth. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever takes a piece of the land of others unjustly, he will sink down the seven earths on the Day of Resurrection. “Narrated by Al-Bukhari.

Like this, on the Day of Resurrection, the one who lies in his dream will be punished by being asked to make a knot between two barley grains, just as the one who listens to people talking while they hate it, will be punished by pouring molten lead into his ears. In the hadith that Al-Bukhari included on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever claims to have seen a dream which he did not see, will be ordered to make a knot between two barley grains which he will not be able to do; and if somebody listens to the talk of some people who do not like him (to listen) or they run away from him, then molten lead will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection; and whoever makes a picture, will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be ordered to put a soul in that picture, which he will not be able to do."

What is meant in the hadith is the images of animate beings. The scholars have differed greatly in defining the forbidden image, whether it is sculpture and anthropomorphism, or it is drawing by hand or photographs.

After that, servants of Allah, send peace and blessings upon prophet Muhammad...
