Cosmologists say that people previously believed that the universe was small and limited. It has been found recently, however, that the universe is much more enormous than we believe. Whenever researchers think that they have reached the edge of the universe, they discover new stars that make them believe that the universe is more and more enormous in such an infinite manner; All glory to Allah, the holy Qur'an reveals such a cosmic fact; Allah says:

“Assuredly the creation

Of the heavens

And the earth

Is a greater (matter)

Than the creation of men:

Yet most men understand not.” Ghafer: 57

In space flights especially away from the earth, all directive methods fail and it becomes impossible to find the right direction except by depending on the stars and their ********s. Stars, therefore, remain an effective directive method in the outer space no matter how developed scientific methods are. The holy Qur'an, accordingly, points out the significance of stars for guidance; Allah, the Exalted says:

“It is He Who maketh

The stars (as beacons) for you,

That ye may guide yourselves,

With their help,

Through the dark spaces

Of land and sea:

We detail Our Signs

For people who know.” An’am: 97

Astronomers have discovered that billion years ago and at its earliest stages, the cosmos transmitted audio frequencies. They add that such frequencies represent a quiet sound that indicates that the cosmos is obedient to its Creator and not rebellious against His commands. Miraculously, the holy Qur’an informs us about the speech of the earth and sky at the very early stages of cosmos creation, the smoke stage; Allah, the Glorious says:

“Moreover He comprehended

In His design the sky,

And it had been (as) smoke:

He said to it

And to the earth:

"Come ye together,

Willingly or unwillingly."

They said: "We do come

(Together), in willing obedience." Fussilat: 11

The above verse reveals the speech of the sky at the earliest stage of its creation, a fact that astronomers have discovered; all glory to Allah!

Cosmologists believe that the universe is expanding dramatically and it would continue expanding thus creating too huge gaps and spaces. Such gaps and spaces result in cosmic imbalances and eventually lead to cosmic collapse. This fact has been revealed by the holy Qur’an for it has pointed out that the sky would be cleft asunder i.e. crack, and would have spaces and gaps; Allah, the Exalted says:

"When the Sky

Is cleft asunder;” Infitar or The Cleaving Asunder: 1


The holy Qur’an affirms that this universe wouldn’t last forever, it would rather crack and collapse. Cosmologists also confirm such a cosmic fact, but the question that needs be answered is who might have informed Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, of it???

This is a marvelous picture of star explosion taken by Hubble Space Telescope; the star is called SN 1987A. It is one of the greatest cosmic explosions and is referred to as supernovas. It is 163000 light- years away and it exploded 161000 years ago, but it was only until 1987 that the explosion was seen when its light reached us. Astronomers say that the diameter round the explosion was 20000 light-years. A light-year is almost 9.5 million million Kilometers. They also confirm that the true ******** of this star is currently unknown and that specifying it requires extremely intricate calculations. In front of such a great sight, we express our humility to Allah and can’t say anything but All Glory to Allah, the Creator of this universe, who not only knows the settings of the stars but also calls them to witness:

“Furthermore I call

To witness the setting

Of the Stars,

And that is indeed

A mighty adjuration

If ye but knew” Waqi’a or the Inevitable event: 75-76 (ibid)

Within the coming few years, it will be possible to construct space 'hotels" and anyone would be able to spend, for instance, a week or more in the space. Just years ago, such residence was no more than a fantasy. Today, it has become a fact; man has managed to fly in spacecrafts and head for the sky. It’s amazing; however, that the Holy Qur’an points out that people would travel using such spacecrafts and other means of transportation. Allah, the Exalted says:

“So I do call

To witness the ruddy glow

Of Sunset;

The Night and its Homing;

And the Moon

In her Fulness:

Ye shall surely travel

From stage to stage” Inshiqaq or the Rending Asunder: 19 (ibid)

Isn't this a miracle that acknowledges the truthfulness of the Holy Qur'an?

Scientist says that the movement of the galaxies in the universe like the movement of water toward river, and when they draw the map of the universe they had found that the universe is a “ road network “ in which galaxies is flowing nicely which testifies to the greatness of the almighty creator ! The scientist says galaxies and star formed and flows along cosmic strings extend to millions of light years! The sun is a star like all galaxies stars and it runs too like them, which is nicely indicated by the Qur'an in the verse: (He has subdue the sun and the moon each is orbiting for a dead line) {fuselat : 13}

We can see in this picture which is released by U.S. space agency NASA a number of bright stars. These stars illuminate the surrounding cosmic smoke. Scientists say these stars work as "spotlights" or Flashlights that reveal the path for us and make us see dense clouds of smoke in the cosmos. If it was not for these spotlights, we would not be able to know a lot about the secrets of the universe. Allah, the Almighty, ahead of all Western scholars and scientists alluded to these spotlights with the name (lamps). Allah stated in Glorious Quran FUSSILAT (EXPLAINED IN DETAIL) 41:12, ‘And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge.’ Scientists confirm that the best name for such distant stars is Flashlights (i.e, lamps) and this name was used in the Qur'an fourteen centuries ago, a testimony to the miracle of this great book!
