![]() The Devil’s Deception of the Raafidah Imam Ibn Jawzee From them, are those who say that Aboo Bakr oppressed Fatimah out of her inheritance. It has been narrated to us from As-Saffaah that he delivered a sermon one day when a man from the descendants of ‘Ali, (may Allah be pleased with him), stood up and said: “O chief of the believers! Help me against he who has oppressed me.” He said: “Who has oppressed you?” He (the man) said: “I am from the children of ‘Ali, (may Allah be pleased with him), and the one who has oppressed me is Aboo Bakr, (may Allah be pleased with him), when he took Fadak from Fatimah.” He (As-Saffaah) said: “And he continued in this oppression of you?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “Who took over after him?” The man said: “’Umar, (may Allah be pleased with him).” He said: “And he continued in this oppression of you?” The man said: “Yes.” He said: “Who took over after him?” The man said: “’Uthmaan, (may Allah have mercy upon him).” He said: “And he continued in this oppression of you?” The man said: “Yes.” He said: “And who took over after him?” He began looking around here and there for a place to which he could flee. Translator’s note: The one who took over after ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan, (may Allah be pleased with him), was ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib, (may Allah be pleased with him). Yet, he did not restore this alleged right which was for Fatimah (according to the Raafidah) because Aboo Bakr, (may Allah be pleased with him), was correctly implementing the statement of Allah’s Messenger “We (the prophets) are not inherited from. That which we leave behind is charity.” The man knew this fact and hence felt foolish after it was pointed out to him.
